Welcome to Med-Surg Mayhem: A Nursing Humor Blog Series

If you’ve ever sprinted to silence a bed alarm, wrestled with tangled IV lines like a Cirque du Soleil performer, or questioned whether you’re working in a hospital or a hidden camera show—this blog is for you. Med-Surg Mayhem is a lighthearted (but painfully accurate) look at the unpredictable world of medical-surgical nursing. From gravity-defying Code Browns to patients who think IV poles double as scooters, this series shares real-life stories that are messy, hilarious, and all too relatable. This isn’t just another clinical resource. It’s a place for nurses to laugh, breathe, and remember you’re not alone in the chaos.

Each post will highlight one ridiculous situation, bringing humor to the hard work.
